Making Ourselves Ready

Based on Matthew 25:1-13 Making ourselves Ready is a reflection on the fascinating story of what has become the wise and foolish virgins found in Matthew 25:1-13. The New Interpreter’s Bible Commentary stated the story of the wise and foolish virgins inspired the early Church greatly because the bridegroom was delayed and accorded the unprepared disciples ample time to prepare and as well present a sense of comfort to those persecuted for the sake of the name of Jesus Christ. However, for the twenty-first century church like you and me it should instead serve as a caveat and an insight to what could go wrong should we fail to prepare for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is, therefore, my hope and prayer that in listening to this Podcast you be blessed, reinvigorated and made ready for when the trumpet sounds. Shalom!

Michael Angley Ogwuche

Since 1987, the Reverend Michael Angley Ogwuche has been actively preaching the Gospel. He firmly believes that his primary calling to preach and write comes from God's grace. Michael is an ardent advocate for social justice, displaying a genuine interest in fairness for all. He regards the Bible as the infallible Word of God, an invaluable and essential tool for navigating life on this planet. Additionally, he firmly holds the belief that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should not be limited in any way, but rather should be proclaimed through various platforms, including podcasts (Isaiah 61:1). To accomplish this, Michael strives to breathe life into the ancient teachings of the Bible, ensuring that they are comprehensible in the present era. With extensive ministerial training and experience, Michael is a resolute and mission-oriented minister. He has served as a Street Evangelist, Director of Bible Correspondence Courses, a Pentecostal pastor, and an R&R Methodist presbyter in Africa and the UK. However, in recent times, you can find Michael ministering as a chaplain, offering spiritual support and guidance to the sick in hospital wards and inmates in prison cells.
