The End of an Era

Based on 1 Chronicles 28:1-8, The End of an Era is a theological reflection on the passings of Her Royal Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. It saddened us today as we reflect on the exit of a great woman of virtue, a matriarch and above all Her Royal Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and of the Commonwealth of Nations. I am not oblivious of other people’s opinion of her person or polity but today I crave your indulgence to reflect along with me on the national emotion of the British people and all that held her dear.

Throughout the Bible we are reminded again and again of the ephemerality of life on this side and yet we appear to find it difficult to understand, however, a solemn occasion  like helps to rethink our own mortality and I hope and pray that this message would be a blessing to you.

Shalom!

Michael Angley Ogwuche

Since 1987, the Reverend Michael Angley Ogwuche has been actively preaching the Gospel. He firmly believes that his primary calling to preach and write comes from God's grace. Michael is an ardent advocate for social justice, displaying a genuine interest in fairness for all. He regards the Bible as the infallible Word of God, an invaluable and essential tool for navigating life on this planet. Additionally, he firmly holds the belief that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should not be limited in any way, but rather should be proclaimed through various platforms, including podcasts (Isaiah 61:1). To accomplish this, Michael strives to breathe life into the ancient teachings of the Bible, ensuring that they are comprehensible in the present era. With extensive ministerial training and experience, Michael is a resolute and mission-oriented minister. He has served as a Street Evangelist, Director of Bible Correspondence Courses, a Pentecostal pastor, and an R&R Methodist presbyter in Africa and the UK. However, in recent times, you can find Michael ministering as a chaplain, offering spiritual support and guidance to the sick in hospital wards and inmates in prison cells.
