The Day the Lions went Hungry

Based on Daniel 6:15-23, “The day the lions went hungry” is a reflection on the story of Daniel’s life of faithfulness to his God and the power of God to save those who put their trust in Him. Out of jealousy Daniel was condemned to death and was placed on the menu for the lions but the lions went hungry because what was on the menu that day was unusual, so the lions won’t eat. God knew that Daniel was on the menu for the lions and He made the lions go hungry for his sake.

Daniel had an option to opt out of the lion’s menu by not praying to his God or pray to his God and face the consequence, he chose the latter and God proved Himself to be trustworthy. You may feel that you are on the lion’s menu today but like Daniel God who is always with you will save you, only be faithful to Him. I pray that this podcast blesses you. Shalom!

Michael Angley Ogwuche

Since 1987, the Reverend Michael Angley Ogwuche has been actively preaching the Gospel. He firmly believes that his primary calling to preach and write comes from God's grace. Michael is an ardent advocate for social justice, displaying a genuine interest in fairness for all. He regards the Bible as the infallible Word of God, an invaluable and essential tool for navigating life on this planet. Additionally, he firmly holds the belief that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should not be limited in any way, but rather should be proclaimed through various platforms, including podcasts (Isaiah 61:1). To accomplish this, Michael strives to breathe life into the ancient teachings of the Bible, ensuring that they are comprehensible in the present era. With extensive ministerial training and experience, Michael is a resolute and mission-oriented minister. He has served as a Street Evangelist, Director of Bible Correspondence Courses, a Pentecostal pastor, and an R&R Methodist presbyter in Africa and the UK. However, in recent times, you can find Michael ministering as a chaplain, offering spiritual support and guidance to the sick in hospital wards and inmates in prison cells.
