Present in our Distress

Based on John 21:1–9 ‘Present in our Distress’ encourages believers to keep trusting in God against all odds. Jesus’ disciples also experience disappointment but rescinded when they discovered that even when in distress the Master of the Universe was with them. You may be staggering from one failure to the other right now or from mistakes you made in the past and wondering if you are good enough for God to care about, listen, (Romans 5:8) said  “but God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Circumstances of this world cannot change or limit God’s love for you. He stands by the  door of you heart, waiting and watching for you to acknowledge him and renew your relationship with Him. God wants to fill up that emptiness in your life, but you must first take the step to be emptied and recognise the limits of your own self-sufficiency. Miracle begins when the jar is empty.

Michael Angley Ogwuche

Since 1987, the Reverend Michael Angley Ogwuche has been actively preaching the Gospel. He firmly believes that his primary calling to preach and write comes from God's grace. Michael is an ardent advocate for social justice, displaying a genuine interest in fairness for all. He regards the Bible as the infallible Word of God, an invaluable and essential tool for navigating life on this planet. Additionally, he firmly holds the belief that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should not be limited in any way, but rather should be proclaimed through various platforms, including podcasts (Isaiah 61:1). To accomplish this, Michael strives to breathe life into the ancient teachings of the Bible, ensuring that they are comprehensible in the present era. With extensive ministerial training and experience, Michael is a resolute and mission-oriented minister. He has served as a Street Evangelist, Director of Bible Correspondence Courses, a Pentecostal pastor, and an R&R Methodist presbyter in Africa and the UK. However, in recent times, you can find Michael ministering as a chaplain, offering spiritual support and guidance to the sick in hospital wards and inmates in prison cells.
